Excellence Through People is Ireland’s national standard for human resource management. Since its development, the Standard has grown in popularity with industry, both services and manufacturing sectors and also public sector organisations.

How long does it take to prepare for the Excellence Through People Assessment?
That depends on your organisation’s stage of development. As each organisation is different it is difficult to state exactly how long it will take to prepare for Excellence Through People.
How long will the assessment take?
That depends on the size of the organisation and is also influenced by the number of locations. SME organisations with one site are typically assessed over one day.
Who nominates the staff taking part in the assessment?
The Assessor will select the staff members to reflect the size, structure and locations, normally 10%. People who are invited to meet the Assessor may decline the invitation.
Do we have to be compliant with legislation?
Yes, organisations not in compliance will not be awarded the standard.
Can an accredited organisation use the Excellence Through People logo?
The logo together with user guidelines will be sent to you along with your Assessment Report.
